About Dr. Ye
Dr. Jason Ye is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon dedicated to helping patients return to active, happy lives. He brings together world-class training, advanced technology, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to deliver the highest level of spine care to the people of Central and West Central Indiana. Dr. Ye currently practices at Indiana Spine Group. He has been recognized by Indianapolis Monthly as a Top Doctor for Spine Surgery. His clinical focus includes back pain, neck pain, radiculopathy, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, and spondylolisthesis. He has a special interest in state of the art, less invasive techniques that allow for safer surgery, faster recovery and improved outcomes.
Dr. Ye earned three Ivy League degrees, completing his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration at Columbia University and his undergraduate education in Computer Science at Brown University, where he graduated magna cum laude with honors. His academic excellence was recognized through numerous distinctions, including Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honors Society, and multiple competitive fellowships and awards.
Following medical school, Dr. Ye completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, consistently ranked among the nation’s top hospitals for orthopedic training. During residency, he served as Administrative Chief Resident and was selected to represent the department at the American Orthopaedic Association Resident Leadership Forum. He received a national AOA/OMEGA grant for innovation in residency education. Dr. Ye later completed a highly competitive fellowship in spine surgery at Indiana Spine Group and Indiana Spine Hospital. His fellowship training included advanced techniques such as minimally invasive decompression and fusion, computer-navigated surgery, robotic-assisted spine surgery and total disc replacement.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ye serves as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a frequent speaker at courses and meetings, presenting research and clinical innovations in spine care. He has been sought out as an expert witness in workers’ compensation cases, reflecting his reputation for thoughtful, evidence-based medical opinions. He was selected to serve on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Recertification Blueprint Committee, helping shape national board certification standards.
